This website began as what was assumed to be a simple project detailing the story of an historic airbase in the Mobile Bay area. Unsurprisingly, this project focusing on Brookley Field, proved to be a much more difficult task to research than originally assumed. The project heavily leans on scouring through newspapers and archival visits to weave the disparate information into a coherent tapestry that will, ideally, provide a somewhat adequate history of this interesting location.
